Installation Guide

In all 2 files: Setup1.exe and Setup2.exe. Please run Setup1.exe first.

About Setup1.exe

Near finish of the installation, you must operate according to the following order (they'll appear one by one, or almost the same time):

1. After the dialogue prompt of "Installation complete!" appears, you should press Ok button.

2. The 2nd step and also the last step is: Install ogg DirectShow filter. The operational step is: I Agree->Close

3. To install DivX 4.12, you should press Next button. When the prompt information appears "Do you want to use DivX 4.0 decoder to play all DivX 3.x content?", You just press Yes button, that's Ok! ( You can also use DivX 5.1.1, but neither 5.0 nor 5.01 for their instability)

4. The 4th step is: Install Windows Media Player Codecs Setup. The operational step is: Yes->Yes->Next->Next->Next->Finish.

5. Perhaps, system will restart your computer, but don't forget setup2.exe:-)

About Setup2.exe:

1. If you use Windows 98/ME, you should select WINDOWS\SYSTEM as your install directory!

2. If you use Windows NT/2000, you should select WINNT\system32 as your install directory!

3. If you use Windows XP, you should select WINDOWS\system32 as your install directory!

4. After the installation's finish of setup2.exe, you must run "Run it First!" directly at once.

Why do I need to cut DVD(vob file)? {same with SVCD, VCD, MPG AND AVI files}

12. It not only can rip any part of one song, but also any part of the whole CD disc. That is to say: It can start from any frame or any time, end at any frame or any time. What a convenience! Fully according to your own will.

13. With the function of cut, you can get any part you want of DVD/VCD movies or MP3 musics. Remember!
what you get is real vob file, neither that kind of file which in fact is just the video partof the whole vob file (i.e., it can't play sound. Just watch the "silent" movie, back to 30 years in the 20th century?), nor mpg file (transformed from the original VOB file) whose display resolution is lower than vob format, and the screen picture effect is so bad!

Cut and Merge averagely: I guess the reason why most people choose this function is: At present, the size of software is becoming bigger and bigger, also the video files are too large to be portable with you, to be suitable for transferring via network; Please imagine this situation: You download a big file ( regardless of software or video file, in a word, it's so big as to being 800MB) in your company, and you just want to take it home, how do you do? Don't worry, cut it averagely to several pieces, then copy them to CDR/CD-RW/iomega zip ( if the size of the "big file" is less than 10MB, you should be able to consider using 1.44MB floppy disks.-:) So great, isn't it? ). DXM Runtime which acts as an efficient video accelerator and audio driver for
VCDCutter. It's possible that you may already have DXM Runtime on your computer
so to avoid an unnecessary re-installation. you can let VCDCutter to detect
whether you have DXM Runtime installed on your system. You can load a movie,
then play it - if you get no warning message then it's already installed.
